We started FORE because the loudest voices in real estate education were the least credible.
Foundations of Real Estate is a small education company. We teach people how real estate actually works so they can make their own decisions, with their own numbers, on their own timeline.
What we believe
Credible know-how, credible sources.
Real estate is a field full of people selling certainty. Seminars, systems, and secret formulas, all built to make the seller money before the student ever buys a building.
We think the opposite is true. Good know-how comes from people who have done the work and are honest about how hard it is. It is taught plainly, tested against real deals, and handed over completely. Once you have learned it, it belongs to you. Not to a guru, not to a platform, and not to us.
That is the whole idea. Everything we do follows from it.
Community partnerships
We teach alongside the organizations people already trust.
FORE works with universities, community organizations, nonprofits, and employers to bring real estate education to their members. Our founders developed Yeshiva University's asynchronous Introduction to Real Estate course as its subject matter experts, and we have taught live classes and mentored students with Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs for several years. Read about our partners.
Partnering with us costs your organization nothing in credibility. We do not sell deals to your members, we do not upsell a masterclass, and we do not promise returns.
Our students
People who learned to underwrite, then did.
Over the years we have taught many students from many backgrounds. Some had never looked at a rent roll. Some worked in the industry and wanted the fundamentals they were never taught.
Many of them went on to buy their first investment property. Others co-invested in deals they were able to underwrite themselves. And a good number decided, with the numbers in front of them, that a deal they were excited about was not worth doing. We count all three as success.
